3' ft TOSLINK is a standardized optical fiber connection system for consumer audio equipment, which carries digital audio streams between components such as MiniDisc and CD players. It can also be found on DVD players to connect the digital audio stream to Dolby Digital/DTS decoders. Premium TOSLINK to TOSLINK Optical Cable - used to connect digital equipment together that have Toslink optical connections. These connections look like a square hole (with the corners removed) in your equipment (there are sometimes protective dust caps installed by the manufacturer that have to be removed). The optical digital output jack in your equipment will usually have a red light down inside it. The optical digital input jack will look like the output jack, but without the red light.
